Each issue presents in-depth review essays about the latest books in American history. Retrospective essays examining landmark works written by leading historians are also regularly featured. The journal covers all areas of American history, including cutting-edge and more traditional sub-fields.This journal provides scholars and students with an effective way to stay informed about the latest developments in the field of American history. Each issue will provide in-depth commentary on over thirty of the latest American history books. In addition, the journal regularly publishes retrospective articles examining the milestone works of major historians.
